There's a good reason that the Empire Strikes Back is the movie that is most commonly referred to. It is quite possibly the best movie in the series. It has what could possibly be Hollywood's most famous line ( I am your father. and introduces the character EVERYBODY knows and loves, Yoda.

Mark Hamill did very well, Carrie Fischer was impressive, and Harrison Ford. really, does he EVER do a bad job?
John Williams is without a doubt the greatest composer of our time. There is not one person who doesn't recognize the Star Wars theme, and the rest of the soundtrack was great.
I am a huge fan of the Star Wars saga, so it's no surprise I'm giving this movie a much deserved 10/10.

It's amazing how casually Vader and Palpatine were talking all about Sith stuff while about several dozen imperial troops and workers were in hearing range. Cool 38kr. The darkest and most epic film in the Star Wars franchise. This production teaches the audience 3 valuable lessons. 1. Not always will the good guys win. 2. I love how in this entire battle. John Williams and his orchestra are basically going ham :D. STOP PAYMANTING. Can't believe I'm finally going to give this movie a try 12 years later... Quick trivia Leia ( Carrie Fisher ) and Han ( Harrison Ford ) actually were romantically involved during during the filming of Star Wars in 1977 I'm not certain it continued during the filming of this movie Harrison was in his mid 30's and Fisher was around 19 or 20 at the time. Harrison Ford asked George Lucas to consider killing off Han Solo because Ford was concerned about becoming typecast for future movie roles. So the character was frozen and could be killed off with a viable story explanation but George was adamant about not killing the character. Kenny Baker ( R2D2 ) and Anthony Daniels ( C3PO ) actually did not get along behind the camera. Yes there were actually people inside those costumes and Poor Kenny Baker ( RIP ) would often remark about how hot and stuffy it was inside that little metal R2 costume and Daniels would mention how difficult it was to move in C3PO's golden restrictive costume and yes it was a hot and stuffy costume as well.

I love that Ion canon, the most underrated high powered gun ever. People were SO INVESTED in this franchise back in 1980 that scrutiny during production was INTENSE! They had the actor in the Vader suit, David Prowse, speak different lines to Luke to conceal the reveal even though Hamill was told what to react to. Dummy scripts were used on set to throw off snoops and spies. James Earl Jones was told the truth just prior to recording the scene. When Jones uttered those immortal words on screen, audiences collectively GASPED, SCREAMED, CRIED, FAINTED and SHOUTED their dismay! It remains one of cinema's MOST ICONIC MOMENTS.

Ok you gotta admit, the battle of Hoth is the most intense, coolest battle in Star Wars. I want every ship available to sweep the asteroid field until they are found! So considering the Fleet scene in episode V this makes: 6 Star Destroyer, 1 Super Star Destroyer, at minimum ~600 TIE Fighter and ~400 other support craft.

Like me, you are becoming a student of Star Wars. Keep going in order. You would really enjoy the documentary of how these first 3 movies were made and changed the movie industry since you enjoy researching the process. These are some of the best reactions Ive seen.
